And we're off...

On the curb at DIA.  Bags came in pretty light, sub 45 lbs for both packs combined, making them very easy to carry, that is going to be nice over the weeks to come.

That was the good packing news, now on to what might be the bad.  After 20 minutes into our journey it quickly became apparent that we were not professional travelers.  You see, after 20 minutes the kids became bored with rolling the cool four wheel bags around Iike little R2D2s.  Then it was our turn to drag them around.  Drag is a more appropriate descriptor then roll because those 360 degree swivel wheels seem to swivel right into the ground when the bag is not upright.

What a drag!  I am wondering how the luggage transport part of the trip is going to work out.  Not so hot so far :-)
