Puno, you know.
Finally, after too much frustration and too little prayer, I think things are sorted, God willing. My tech issues are no longer prohibitive, just prolonging my blogging.
You might be interested in knowing that our first showers of the trip just occurred. We decided to forego bathing and keep the kids sleeping this morning. Riley was first to realize that things were not quite right when she yawned and said that she felt like she had lotion on all over. Eww.
After a bumpy ride we did finally make it to the one gate airport that serves Puno and departed via the rolling stairway which the kids seem to get a kick out of.
The transport from the airport into Puno was very laid back. Not like the European and Asian drivers that we have had, no, this guy was chill. We we able to see a few things along they say such as the appearance of perpetual construction that seems to abound in some countries. We saw the same thing in Egypt, every structure had a bunch of re-bar sticking out the top just waiting.
It is election season here and the candidates ads are painted everywhere. Not a whole lot of information just a name and a number. There were some very opportunistic billboards consisting of slabs of rock sliding down a hillside along with every wall along the road.
After checking in and wandering about I had my first alpaca dinner, next up guinea pig!
OK. Goodnight. Pray for better blogging tomorrow. Actually, we will be on an island in the middle of Lake Titicaca with no wifi ;-)
tell Patti HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!! have fun, be safe!!
