So This Is Christmas

We finally made it to Dehli with minutes to spare on Christmas Day.  For the first time in 16 years I didn't put together a Huth Christmas Letter.  That felt a little weird, but then again this whole Christmas season has been a little different. We had celebrated Christmas dinner, exchanged gifts, packed up everything, even gave away the Christmas tree on Craigslist before we left, all while people were still ramping into the season.

I use the Christmas letter to poke a little exaggerated fun at the family, trying to not be the typical 'my kids are more gooder than your kids' newsletter.  The communique is just excuse to send out my real thoughts on Christmas. You are going to have get your shenanigans fix on the blog this year.

Jesus, the reason for the season.  I don't really like that phrase, or argument, or whatever it is. I think something like - Jesus, the reason - is a more apt saying.  In fact, we find this declaration in the first verses of the first chapter of the book in the Bible written by John.

John tells us that Jesus was there in the beginning, that He was with God in the beginning and that He has been God from the beginning. John also tells us that Jesus created everything that exists and that there is nothing that exists (except for God) that Jesus did not create. John goes on to say that in Jesus is life and the life in Jesus is the Light of mankind.  John wraps up the first few verses by saying that Jesus, the Light, shines in the darkness, but we did not comprehend that light.

I pray that we all may comprehend His Light more completely this Christmas.

Merry Christmas 2018.

The Huths.
