En Route

DIA Triple Scan
Pulled for power bars once again.  You'd think we had learned our lesson and removed the energy bars from our luggage before rolling through security, nah.  We arrived to find no lines at the A Concourse security, that's a nice Christmas Eve gift.  We fixed the no lines situation in short order as we clogged up the scanner as our bags took up to 3 scans to clear - fail ;-)

Cockpit Jammin'
Our aircraft had a delayed takeoff from DIA due to a cockpit speaker not working. Who would have thought that we would be thankful for our 6 hour layover in Minneapolis! Our understanding is that the intent of the speaker was to provide audible instructions in the case of things going amiss, seems like a necessary output device. At one point in the troubleshooting process they powered the entire aircraft down and did a restart, I wonder if the helpdesk said try that first ;-). We were also thinking that on Christmas Eve the plane flies better with some Rudolph jamming - safety and Christmas spirit first.

Mall Cats
No trip to India is complete without a stop at the Mall of America in Minneapolis, that will likely be a fitting juxtaposition (sp) (I have to 'sp' because my blogging does not have spellcheck and as a crazy kid spelling was low on the list of my priorities).  We had fun watching the indoor coasters then set out for the real mission...find something to tame the odor of Tara's wretched feet!  We are somewhere less than 19 hours to our destination now - yay.
